The European Society of Veterinary Neurology (ESVN) was founded in 1987 and serves as a forum for persons interested in all aspects of the nervous system of animals, promotes training programs in veterinary neurology and provides an opportunity for collaborative clinical research throughout Europe.
The European Society of Veterinary Neurology (ESVN) is a professional society and network founded 1987 for veterinarians, researchers, and veterinary professionals with an interest in animal neurology. It provides a forum for sharing knowledge, training opportunities, continuing education, and collaborative research throughout Europe.
Membership in ESVN is open to any individuals interested in veterinary neurology — membership does NOT confer specialist status. For clinicians seeking to become recognised as a specialist in veterinary neurology, the ESVN recommends the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN). ECVN awards the Diplomate title only to those who have completed an approved residency, undergone rigorous training, and passed a comprehensive certification examination. Only Diplomates are entitled to use the official title “EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology. ”
It is a requirement for all ECVN approved residents to be a member of the ESVN for the duration of their residency.
