Our team is privileged to provide gold standard care to over 40,000 patients each year across our ever-growing network. Having recently opened our fourth hospital, SASH is continuing to invest in our team with the latest equipment and technology.
Our recent hospital refurbishment at North Ryde - located 20 minutes north of Sydney’s CBD - means we provide the most comprehensive service offering across Australia. SASH has an onsite laboratory, 128 slice CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy, digital radiology, fluoroscopy, 1.5T MRI, ultrasound, electrodiagnostic suite, rehabilitation facilities including a hydrotherapy treadmill, and a linear accelerator with stereotactic capability. We have six newly built and well-equipped operating theatres and a state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
Our newly built hospital at Prospect, Western Sydney - located 40 minutes west of Sydney’s CBD – is similarly able to offer a comprehensive service onsite with its brand-new Intensive Care Unit, full service in-house lab, Ultrasound, CT scanner, 1.5T MRI, digital radiography as well as three operating theatres including an interventional radiology space, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and rehabilitation facility.

The Position:
We are looking for a fifth enthusiastic and dedicated Neurologist & Neurosurgeon to join our Sydney based team.
Our Sydney team currently consists of four Neurologist/Neurosurgeons, one resident (ECVN program), one neurology-specific intern and a team of specialist nurses. Alongside the Neurology & Neurosurgery team you will work collaboratively with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, medical and radiation oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, and rehabilitation, supporting you to achieve the best for your patients.
The opportunity is a full time, permanent position across a 4-day week. However, a part time position would also be considered.
To be considered for this position, we are looking for:
- Be a board-certified Neurologist with the American or European colleges (DipACVIM Neurology or DipECVN).
- Holding one of these qualifications means you are eligible to register and practice as a veterinary specialist in the state of NSW.
- Board-eligible candidates who have completed an approved training program in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery, who are yet to finalise exams are also encouraged to apply.
