The Department seeks to recruit a Junior Clinical Veterinarian in Neurology
from 01.09.2022 or as soon as possible after that date, to enhance provision of
clinical neurology services and undergraduate teaching. The Junior Clinical
Neurologist (Service Intern) post will provide support in the provision of
clinical neurology services.
We are seeking a proactive, professional individual with positive attitudes
always. Outstanding interpersonal skills, and an ability to stay calm under
pressure and work as a team are essential. Interns must also demonstrate a
commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and
patient care and an interest in research.
The internship will involve a range of duties to help facilitate the
running of the department; including a contribution to inpatient care,
consultations, student teaching, assisting with the management of emergencies,
supervised primary care responsibility, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.
The role will expose you to training in the medical and surgical management of
patients as well as working within a referral team setting. The role would
prepare you well for entry into an approved residency training program in your
chosen discipline.
Candidates must have excellent standards of written and spoken German and should
have at least 12 months’ experience in companion animal practice. The
application requires candidate to be eligible for the Swiss veterinary licenses
(“MEBEKO”).
