The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month tenure-track or 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Neurology. This position will be housed in the Department of Clinical Sciences located on the Veterinary Health Campus of Colorado State University. The neurology service at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a broad array of diseases that either primarily or secondarily affect the nervous system. The Neurology service has high-quality facilities, a strong clinical case load, and a great support team. 
  
The Department recognizes that there is a need for an additional faculty to sustain clinical excellence and teaching programs, and for development of new knowledge so has created the currently advertised position. The language is intentionally broad to allow for maximum flexibility in meeting the selected candidate’s professional interests upon hire. Clinical Instructor – Non-tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 34 – 40 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Completion of a residency in neurology.

Assistant Professor – Non-tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 28 – 34 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

Assistant Professor – Tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 18 – 22 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

·       MS, PhD or relevant research experience.

Associate Professor – Non-tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 28 – 34 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

·       5 years of experience at the Assistant Professor rank or equivalent

Associate Professor – Tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 18 – 22 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

·       MS or PhD and/or evidence of maintaining a nationally recognized research program.

Full Professor – Non-tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 28 – 34 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

·       5 years of experience at the Associate Professor rank or equivalent

Full Professor – Tenure track

The approximate commitment to clinical responsibilities will range from 18 – 22 weeks.

·       DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

·       Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

·       MS or PhD and/or evidence of maintaining an internationally recognized research program.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

Clinical Instructor – Non-tenure track

·       Board eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN)

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Tenure/Non-tenure track

·       Experience in instruction of DVM students
