One-year Neurology and Neurosurgery Internship San Marco Veterinary Clinic and Laboratory (2022-2023)

San Marco Veterinary Clinic is offering a one-year Neurology and Neurosurgery Internship position for someone who has a keen interest for Neurology and would like to further their skills and knowledge.

San Marco Veterinary Clinic is a state of the art, multidisciplinary private referral institution situated in Veggiano (Padua), Italy.

The Intern will join the Neuroteam in their daily clinical, electrodiagnostic and neurosurgery activities. The Intern will be directly supervised by two ECVN Diplomates, three senior neurologists, one junior neurologist and one intern specialist. 

The Intern will be enrolled as active part of the daily work and weekly continuing educations, including weekly journal clubs and book readings. 

SM has modern equipment including in-house clinical pathology laboratory and cytology, histopathology, radiography, ultrasonography, fluoroscopy, electrodiagnostic equipment, 3T-MRI, multidetector-row CT, dedicated neurosurgical unit, physiotherapy and rehabilitative unit and intensive care unit. 

Applicants should preferably have successfully completed a 12-month rotating internship or have experience small animal practice. 

In some istances, the internship is preceded by 1-3 months rotation in Internal Medicine while working with the Neuroteam, in order to facilitate the integration of the Intern in the highly demanding case load of the SM clinic.

The successful candidate will be expected to start in October 2021. Please note that due to the location of our practice and the ‘on call’ responsibilities, having your own transport would be an advantage. For any further question please contact Marika Menchetti at
