With our brand new, second, 23,000 sq ft facility opening soon, Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) has an exciting opening for Veterinary Neurologists to join our expanding world class team.

We are located in Hong Kong, also known as Asia’s World City, a vibrant and culturally rich modern metropolis where English is an official language along with Cantonese. Despite having a recognizable skyscraper-filled skyline, only 25% of Hong Kong land is developed, making Hong Kong lush with country parks, nature reserves, easy to access beaches and islands.  Hong Kong is also a major transport hub in Southeast Asia, a gateway with direct flights to many regional and international locations.

As Hong Kong’s first and only dedicated specialty and emergency hospital, we are a 20,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility located in Wan Chai, on Hong Kong Island, and will be opening a second, fully-equipped hospital located in Mong Kok, Kowloon, in late 2019.  We currently offer 24/7 emergency services, as well as specialty services in Surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Emergency Critical Care, and Anaesthesia & Pain Management. Our Hong Kong hospital is equipped with a 1.5 Telsa Siemens MRI, a 16-slice Siemens CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, fluoroscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, cageside ultrasound for AFAST/TFAST, hemodialysis services, a fully equipped in-house laboratory and in-house compounding pharmacy.  Our Kowloon hospital will be similarly equipped with high quality diagnostic tools and equipment.  Because we are a genuine emergency and referral only hospital, we do not provide any general practice or primary care services.

At VSH, in addition to developing and maintaining outstanding specialty and emergency services for our patients, we strive to build a positive hospital culture that is based on mutual respect and support for our staff.  We strongly believe that a great work environment leads to happy employees, better patient care and positive client experiences. To be considered, veterinarians must understand the importance of excellent and compassionate communication and teamwork.  We aim to meet the needs of our referring veterinarian community, create experiences that meet and exceed the expectations of our clients, and always remember that the patient comes first.

For our Veterinary Specialist positions, we are looking for talented specialists to join our team.  We are looking for candidates who are team players and value working in a collaborative environment based on mutual respect and support.  Cultivating professional relationships through communication with referring veterinarians and delivering outstanding patient and client care are fundamental to the position.  Currently in all of Hong Kong, there are only a handful of specialists in each discipline, in some areas only one specialist, providing services to over 750 potential referring veterinarians and thousands of pet owners who want the best possible medical options for their pets. Therefore, the potential for growth in specialty medicine is large.  Hong Kong pet owners are passionate about their furry family members and are starting to understand that there are specialists who can go to extra lengths to treat their ill pets. Our current veterinary specialists also have the opportunity to lecture in conferences in and around the region and have a tangible influence on the development of veterinary medicine not only within Hong Kong, but also in mainland China and Southeast Asia.  The VSH team is paving the way for specialized medicine, elevating veterinary medicine in Hong Kong and throughout Asia and we want you to join us in this exciting period of growth.

We offer a generous compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience, and we strive to reward hard-working, committed team members.
