We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated board-certified or board-eligible neurologist to support our neurology & neurosurgery service between December 2019 and February 2020 (weekend only out of hours cover may be considered). We are seeking to cover temporary absence of colleagues sitting the ECVN exam. Pride Veterinary Centre is a young and fast-growing state of the art multidisciplinary referral hospital in central UK. The neurology & neurosurgery service was established in March 2013. Our neurology team consists of one experienced European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology, three experienced Residency Trained Neurology Clinicians, two Neurology Residents and a Neurology Intern as well as two dedicated Neurology Nurses.

 

Pride Veterinary Centre is proud to provide high standards of clinical care delivered by our multiple specialists in the veterinary field, including clinicians in internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, dermatology and rehabilitation. State-of-the-art facilities include a 1.5T MRI, a 16-slice CT, digital radiography, electrodiagnostic, intensive care and physiotherapy and hydrotherapy unit. 24-hour in-patient care is provided by a competent team of nurses and night staff.

 

Pride Veterinary Centre is part of Scarsdale Veterinary Group, which comprises 8 small animal branch practices that contribute to the referral caseload, as well as a separate farm practice and an equine hospital. The Pride Veterinary Centre works in partnership with the University of Nottingham Veterinary School to provide undergraduate clinical training. We are located in Derbyshire in the East Midlands region of England in a beautiful countryside, just a short drive from the stunning Peak District National Park. Our location has excellent road, rail and airport access to all areas of the country.
